About Psilocybin
Facilitation
How Facilitation Works
Before Your First Session
First, schedule your consultation with a facilitator. During this consultation, your facilitator will explain the process and their approach to facilitating. Once you select a facilitator, you will then schedule your preparation session. This preparation session will help inform and set up for the administration session, including informed consent, safety planning, and other questions about the process.
Request your pre-screening questionnaire and risk assessment here.
Thank you for your response. ✨
What To Expect Your First Time
Your facilitator is there to non-directly assist you through your psilocybin administration and experience. They will not psychoanalyze or direct you in this altered state, but will help calm and comfort you through the experience. Guidelines and boundaries on touch during the experience are outlined and discussed beforehand so that appropriate comforting measures can be taken.
You will not be able to drive, operate heavy machinery or other vehicles after your session. Your transportation from the service center will be planned during your prep session.
Aftercare and Debriefing
The work is not done after the administration session, it’s just begun! To achieve integration and begin the real healing, after-care and follow up sessions are needed to process and understand your experience. Your facilitator will guide you through this aftercare process, offering insight and interpretation to help you understand and grow from your psilocybin experience.
Psilocybin Use
Psilocybin Use in the State of Colorado
Colorado is the second state in the United States of America where it is legal to obtain and use psilocybin for personal use or use in healing centers in May 2023. For more information on Colorado law SB23-290 and other rules on natural medicine regulation, click here.
Federally, psilocybin remains a Schedule I substance under the Federal Controlled Substances Act.
Growing and Obtaining Psilocybin
Psilocybin mushrooms are grown and cultivated from spores that are purchased. The flowers of the mushroom are dried and consumed whole, brewed in tea, added to food products, capsules or extracts.
Legal and Employment Considerations
Federally, psilocybin remains a Schedule I substance under the Federal Controlled Substances Act. The consumer of psilocybin should take into consideration their mental health, recent history of psychosis or any ideations of self-harm, as these can cause your facilitator to deny access. For your safety and those around you, the facilitator can deny access for administration for any reason.
